I thought you mike like to know some FridayMixtape.com statistics.
The website gets between 500-1000 unique visitors per day. What’s more interesting is that people listen to an average of 2-3 Terabytes of music each day through the site. It peaks at 4.5 Terabytes per day so I’m glad I have unlimited hosting because that’s an ocean of data getting pushed out. So there is a fair bit of listening going on that doesn’t get tracked by traditional analytics. For example the people on the email list (over 1000 of them) don’t get tracked in the web stats. FridayMixtape.com has had visitors from 186 different countries and there are over 13 000 followers on Twitter now.
Anyway, I thought you’d like to know that a bunch of us are listening together. In fact many of you are hot shots with fancy jobs at huge companies. I only know because I get a bunch of out of office email replies when the mixtape is sent out on Fridays.
I just do this for fun as a little side project but it’s rad to know you’re out there scattered across the globe shaking your collective rumps.
